Job Description
Global Science & Technology, Inc (GST), a growing scientific and high technology company, is seeking a Data Analyst in anticipation of the successful award of a contract supporting the NOAA SAE.
This candidate will support the SAE's user engagement activities by providing data analysis support and helping develop a data integration strategy leveraging multiple data sources to better understand NOAA data user needs.
This position is located in College Park, MD, but is approved for a hybrid model of onsite and telework. Employees are expected to be available to work onsite via a hybrid schedule including a mix of several days a week onsite and the remaining workdays via telework.
** Position Contingent Upon Award of Contract **
Position Summary:• Perform data collection and analysis on user engagement data • Provide expert guidance and support on data analysis to a variety of user engagement projects • Support the maintenance of user engagement dashboards and visualizations related to NOAA stakeholders and users and their level of engagement • Identify tools and create metrics to help RAAD extract value from its data • Organize or modify user engagement data to be compatible with key data visualization software packages such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Excel
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
BA/BS in a quantitative science or social science field, such as economics, statistics, or data science• More than 5 years of experience working in the field• Experience working with a variety of data management and visualization tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau• Good organizational skills, detail oriented• Good communication and critical thinking skills
