Job Description:

The Data Analyst works alongside the Data Science and Advanced Analytics team members to help business partners make data driven decisions. This individual analyzes a large variety of data to extract information and communicates findings to inspire action. The Data Analyst uses statistical methods and analytics tools to interpret the data and prepare dashboards and reports for business users. 0% travel required.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with internal customers to identify, define, and resolve a variety of complex business problems and support various corporate initiatives.
• Evaluates business processes and translates business requirements into analysis plans to support the work of team.
• Acts as a liason between Data Science and Advanced Analytics team and business teams to help plan projects and translate the insights gleaned from data analytics into recommended business actions.
• Identifies sources of data and methods to improve data collection and analysis.
• Assesses the quality and efficacy of data sets.
• Cleans, manipulates, and queries structured data to support initial data analysis efforts and uncover trends in the data that can drive strategic action.
• Conducts recurring and ad hoc analyses to support operational tasks.
• Communicates findings to both technical and non-technical teams.
• Keeps current with technical and industry developments.
• Partners with the team in an effort to share knowledge and develop analytical and professional skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics or related field required
• 1-2 years of experience in report building and data analysis
• Experience with SQL and programming languages (Python)
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other Business Intelligence Tools required
• Knowledge of statistical software packages such as R, SAS, SPSS, or Stata preferred
• Comfort working in a dynamic, research-oriented group with several ongoing concurrent projects
• Experience with data mining, mathematics, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis a plus
• Experience working in a retail or transportation environment a plus
