This is a 12-month contract role set to expire 02/2025.

As the Commercial Data Analyst, you are responsible for the establishment of specialized, high level financial and commercial analysis and insights to enable the business to make informed decisions and drive organizational action within each Division in Canada as well as across Canada.

This is a hybrid role requiring Wednesdays and 1 other day per week onsite.

What You Will Do

  • Consistently meet service delivery expectations based on input from the business.
  • Gather and build big data dashboard/analytic plan for Canada with vision of "single source of truth" philosophy - inclusive of internal data and acquired external market data.
  • Develop analytics that allow Commercial leaders to make actionable data driven commercial decisions using both internal and external data.
  • Effectively partner and collaborate with Senior Management, Marketing, Finance, Sales and Operations as well as Business Insights team in the International and US regions to align on big data footprint, utilize existing dashboards/platforms, and technology strategy.
  • Responsible for leading the creation, collection, organization, development, and dissemination of relevant data analysis to support strategic business objectives.
  • Provide insights focused on customer and market trends to make recommendations for new business opportunities and identify emerging trends in segments/channels.
  • Develop and administer training programs and/or communication for end users on deployment of new dashboards and tools ensuring strong change management and adoption protocols.
  • Introduce new opportunities and make recommendations to drive process improvements and increase productivity (simpler, faster) and collect and help to prioritize enhancement requests; coordinate appropriate communication with the business users.
  • Conceptualize and build reports leveraging visualization tools such as Power BI to effectively communicate data driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify new data analysis needs and develop new datasets/solutions to help meet business objectives and proactively identify and raise awareness about concerns or risks regarding data integrity which could undermine dashboard accuracy and participate in resolving them.

What You Need

  • University Degree required in economics, business, data analytics or equivalent field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong understanding and technical knowledge of data modeling and report development with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint creating creating a story behind the numbers required.
  • Certification in Microsoft Power BI preferred.
  • Hands on scripting (python, R, and/or SQL) or statistical analysis experience preferred.
  • Experience in leading projects with cross functional teams including Information Technology partners preferred.
  • Capable of analyzing and resolving complex questions related to financial performance preferred.
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and performance over time at Stryker will be considered.
