Data Analyst II

Description Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights to drive business decisions and strategies. The role involves conducting ad hoc analysis, developing and managing dashboards, and monitoring KPIs. This role requires proficiency in SQL, statistical analysis, data visualization, and collaboration. Experience with tools such as Sisense, PowerBI, or Tableau, along with expertise in SSIS, SSRS, Python is required.

 Essential Duties:

The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties. 

• Perform ad hoc analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights for strategic decision-making.
• Develop and manage business intelligence solutions using platforms like Sisense, PowerBI, or Tableau.
• Design and maintain dashboards to visualize key metrics and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor and report on KPIs to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Utilize statistical visualization techniques to explore and communicate insights effectively.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines using SSIS for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Create and customize reports using SSRS to meet business requirements.
• Utilize Python for data analysis, manipulation, and automation tasks.
• Ensure data cleanliness and accuracy through data cleaning and quality assurance processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps Repos and Release Pipelines and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Assists Director by offering monetization ideas for any data solution/strategy.
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support. 

Education/Training/Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Completion of a Bachelors Degree is required. Strong preference for the completion of a major in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis and automation tasks.
• Deep expertise with data modeling and working with business users to craft, modify, update, and map data or information models.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering for tools such as CoPilot , ChatGPT, and Gemini.
• Familiarity with tunning LLMs for specific tasks.
• Awareness of AI/ML and newer generative AI techniques to help shape future opportunities in collaboration w/ engineers.
• Interest in design of AI-driven chat bots to improve user engagement or answer questions.
• Familiarity with newer data science tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, and others.
• Can clearly articulate differences and nuances among data warehouses, data lakes, data lake houses, and data mesh and understands the value of each pattern.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Sisense, PowerBI, or Tableau.
• Strong expertise in dashboard development and management.
• Knowledge of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Experience with data cleaning, data quality assurance, and governance.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps Repos and Release Pipelines and GitHub.
• Ability to work with engineers for feature engineering.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
