Reporting directly to the Sr Manager, Technology and Automation, the Data Analyst III will be responsible for analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our company. We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights. In this role, you should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math, and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. Your goal will be to help our company analyze trends to make better decisions. The Data Analyst III will focus on reducing inefficiencies throughout the sales organization by developing and implementing new technologies, while focusing on automating current processes in existing systems. The Technical Solutions Manager will be a front-line liaison with the IT Department, Finance, and Data Governance by ensuring accurate data and successful system upgrades & implementations for all Advanced Sales Solutions

Job Description:

Essential Functions

• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Combine models through ensemble modeling
• Present information using data visualization techniques
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
• Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with business users to capture & define business requirements and then contribute to designing and defining the appropriate data warehouse dimensional modeling solution, which includes prototyping/demonstrating data solutions
• Ensure the security of confidential sales data through usage tracking and monitoring access of sales systems
• Administer Business Intelligence report catalog for Sales Organization
• Set up and modify user access based on a data-level role-based security structure
• Work as a liaison between Business users and IT SMEs to define requirements, solution design, systems testing, and coordinated releases.
• Design, develop and implement metadata/logical data models
• Design, develop and implement complex user interface objects
• Serve as a mentor and training coordinator to power users that create and develop ad-hoc queries and reports; facilitate user group sessions on various technical/non-technical BI topics
• Explore new technologies and present feasibility reports to leadership detailing benefits, costs, and implementation strategies
• Work cross-functionally with other business areas such as Finance to ensure the integrity of invoice-level sales data is maintained and that Executive Leadership Team is receiving accurate sales reports in a timely fashion.
• Development activities involving multiple ETL tools and RDMBS tools. Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements based on business need and architectural improvements

Data Integrity

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all Company data across systems maintaining the level of confidentiality is secure.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Four (4) or more years of experience in a Data Science Role within the Retail of Consumer-Packaged Goods Industry.
• Functional Knowledge on software development principles and architecture.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution, and implement it using advanced quantitative methods.
• Experience with programming languages for data analysis; ideally Python, SQL, or R.
• Solid oral and written communication skills, especially around analytical concepts, and methods.
• Great work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Knowledge of any relational database such as My SQL.
• Must be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have experience working with customers across Types: Full-time, Contract
• Strong interest and intellectual curiosity about data, databases, and analytical modeling
