Data Analyst Intern

Level Up Ventures is seeking a data-driven and enthusiastic Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this part-time role is to help us enhance the quality, accuracy, and completeness of our data and data management tools. This position is an opportunity for anyone interested in learning about startups and venture capital while expanding their network within the startup ecosystem.

Job Summary:

As a Data Analyst Intern at Level Up Ventures, you will be working closely with our data systems and tools, including Airtable and Notion, to improve our CRM, deal flow management, portfolio monitoring, and reporting capabilities. Your role will involve auditing our current tools and workflows while proposing and implementing solutions to automate processes and optimize efficiency. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and proactive, meticulous, and have a strong critical-thinking skillset suited for fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve the quality, accuracy, and completeness of Level Up Ventures' data by identifying areas of improvement within our systems
• Audit current tools (Airtable & Notion) and workflow for potential enhancements
• Implement new solutions such as custom automations or alternative tools to meet team needs
• Leveraging your expertise in Power BI or similar reporting tools to build the tools/platforms that will help the Level Up team make informed decisions quickly based on accurate data analysis

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of database development skills and data migration/transformation services (i.e., SQL, Python, etc.)
• Proficiency in Airtable; familiarity with Notion is a plus
• Knowledgeable in reporting tools like Power BI
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently
• Meticulous and organized
• Passion for supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs
• Availability to work 10-20 hours per week over a 3-6-month period
• Open only to NY-based applicants who can travel to Hearst Tower at least twice a week
