Bizzell is seeking a Data Analyst II to support the firm's Federal government client and provide a broad range of healthcare quality improvement services involving support of the national data-driven initiatives to optimize health outcomes for persons and
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Support research team to collect, manage, and analyze qualitative data, including program records, interview transcripts and focus group notes, and other qualitative data.
• Import, clean, transform, validate, and model data; make conclusions from the data for decision making and public health purposes; test data to identify data integrity issues and validity.
• Consult with programmers and end-users concerning the outline of data requirements; assist in making data accessible to epidemiologists, scientists, physicians, programmers, and other end users.
• Participate in data-related projects, including data normalization, data maintenance, data research, data standardization, data product development, and data quality assurance.
• Make recommendations and coordinate with data manager to plan solutions; recommend operating methods to improve processing, distribution, data flow, collection, and database editing procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Advanced qualitative data analysis skills using current software (e.g., nVivo, Atlas.TI, MAXQDA, Dedoose, etc.) on a range of projects in the healthcare domain.
• Experience analyzing large data sets, strong data management skills, and strong writing skills.
• Ability to contextualize and interpret research findings within larger ideas, topics, and trends.
• Ability to synthesize research for high-quality presentation.
• Able to distill a large amount of information into concise bullets, graphics, and frameworks.
• Experience of managing multiple simultaneous projects from start to finish in a fast-pasted environment.
• Strong project management, planning, and organization skills.
• Effective communication skills with ability to interact with team members and customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent technical abilities and strong analytical skills.
Education and Experience:
• Master's degree in public health, social sciences, data analytics, operations research, information systems, data science, or related area and/or equivalent experience.
• At least four (4) years of experience with qualitative data analysis.
• At least three (3) years of experience working as a data analyst within the healthcare sector for a federal government client or contractor is a plus.
Experience in Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
