Data Analyst, Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Engage with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals. Bring structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion. Delegate tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers.
• Serve as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
• Acquire and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness. Leads the development of data quality standards, and the tools and methods used to measure and improve data quality.
• Perform analyses of data from multiple sources to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods and machine learning.
• Validate analytical techniques employed by other analysts.
• Prepare and deliver expert level visualizations and internal presentations which translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for senior leader stakeholders to implement.
• Develop, manage, and own recurring analytic or reporting processes.
• Develop the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching, and connecting others with resources and training.
• Participate and present during scheduled analytics seminars.
• Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years related work experience.
• Technical - SQL, Python, and AWS.
• PySpark, Tableau Cloud and Dashboard development preferred
• Financial Services and Banking experience preferred
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
