Job Description

The Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Manager will provide operational and strategic report development and support within C.H. Robinson's reporting platforms. In this dynamic role, you will manage a team that performs various levels of data and process analysis, requirements clarification and documentation, stakeholder analysis and data reporting in support of the Finance and Accounting departments and project goals (primarily in the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Indirect Procurement, and Carrier Services disciplines). This opportunity offers hybrid flexibility to work both remote and within our Eden Prairie headquarters.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Finance Operations Data Analytics team to ensure timely, accurate, streamlined, and consistent reporting and analytics for internal and external customers
  • Develop, enhance, and/or resolve issues related to performance scorecards, data visualization dashboards, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Lead the team strategy to drive prioritization of projects based on value and effort required
  • Guide corporate IT partners to focus on enterprise business intelligence initiatives
  • Partner with Finance and Business leadership in the planning for strategic initiatives and help guide roadmap creation
  • Focus efforts on project goals and objectives; proactively search for creative alternatives to improve processes and procedures
  • Continuously seek out knowledge of emerging technologies and creates the department learning roadmap
  • Effectively articulate complex technical concepts using a variety of techniques and adjust content, style and language based on the intended audience
  • Drive innovation and challenge technical assumptions; analyze new ideas for potential adoption
  • Serve as a trusted advisor whose input is sought by a broad range of stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Identify potential savings opportunities and reporting solutions
  • Mentor and challenge others to develop their skills, manage annual merit to align compensation with performance results
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to establish a pipeline, recruit, select, and onboard qualified and diverse talent
  • Outline employee role accountabilities and expectations; manage performance to drive the right behaviors and improve results providing real-time coaching, feedback, and mentoring, development activities and stretch assignments
  • Model the CH Robinson leadership principles and visibly lead and support change management including active involvement in communication, implementation, and reinforcement


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrably complex reporting and analytics experience
  • Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience
  • Experience writing SQL queries


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced programming language coding experience (e.g., R, Python)
  • Demonstrable application of relational and dimensional database concepts
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft analytical and reporting tools, including Power BI
  • Knowledgeable in information technology (IT) and continuous process improvement
  • Self-starter, innovator, and positive team player with ability to work with little or no supervision
