Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Team Lead

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Team Lead for our customer based in Portsmouth, NH. This position will be onsite. You will supervise staff as well as contribute individually to reporting, data visualization, and analytics solutions to meet strategic and operational needs for the company in support of the business processes. Contribute toward evolving the organization's analytical self-service/ad hoc reporting capabilities using existing or future toolsets. You will also lead prototype efforts in various BI tools for capability assessment and demonstrations. In addition, this position will lead and take part in client support efforts, data literacy initiatives, and data governance, and will provide project management and oversight of related projects. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Supervise staff as well as contribute individually to reporting, data visualization, and analytics solutions to meet strategic and operational needs for the institution in support of the business process.
• Contribute toward evolving the organization’s analytical self-service/ad hoc reporting capabilities using existing or future toolsets.
• Lead prototype efforts in various BI tools for capability assessment and demonstrations.
• This position will lead and take part in client support efforts, data literacy initiatives, and data governance, and will provide project management and oversight of related projects.
• Oversee work prioritization, delegation, and deadlines.
• Provide leadership for workflows and processes to support operational and project work requests including prioritization, timelines, and task assignment.
• Report data to management on capacity and workload.
• Perform all aspects of personnel management including hiring, performance reviews, salary/merit recommendations, and staff development.
• Set clear team goals and create a positive team environment with an open communication culture.
• Lead Center for DATA client support efforts and initiatives and establish effective services and processes to meet client needs. 
• Provide support to Center for DATA clients including end user support, ad-hoc report development, and formal and informal training sessions and workshops. 
• Provide expertise and leadership to collaborate with academic clients and units to understand reporting, data visualization, and information needs.
• Lead projects to meet information needs including large, multi-department efforts.
• Partner with Center for DATA business intelligence developers to identify and create new reporting areas or to implement changes to existing data environment. 
• Lead and participate in institutional planning efforts to improve and mature access to and use of data.
• Take part in and lead efforts to improve effectiveness of reporting and information solutions to meet needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience in the information technology field, a master’s and four years, or a combination of education and experience equal to ten years.
• Prior experience in an analytics or business intelligence role 
• Knowledge of Banner Finance, HR, and Student systems
• Experience with ERP reporting and analytics environments
• Experience with exploratory data analysis using big data technologies/languages such as Snowflake and AWS
