Individual contributor responsible for leading and managing the data, reporting and analysis in establishing metrics, providing innovative data analyses and partnering with department professionals to support their business intelligence needs. Responsible for enhancing capabilities to make data-driven decisions and recommendations. Collaborates with leadership to assure strategic, operational and developmental goals of the organization are met.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

• Lead projects that involve the analysis of complex modeling for the purpose of quantifying the performance of the business area and evaluating operational changes.
• Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources.
• Collaborate with department management and analytical professionals to design complex dashboards, using available data visualization tools.
• Use tools such as GCP Vertex AI, Airflow, Kubernetes, STRIIM, and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) to load data into cloud environment from disparate sources such as Salesforce and Workday using on-premise databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Use advanced BigQuery SQL concepts, data architecture, data modeling, data governance, and query performance tuning expertise to build materialized view database structures that bring detailed data into organized information for business consumption through dashboard and business intelligence tools.
• Use advanced business intelligence tools, including ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau, QlikView, and Alteryx to develop dashboard and reporting suites used by various P&C and Commercial insurance business departments to make informed decisions leveraging curated data sets.
• Disseminate information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements.
• Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
• Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users. Interpret data and identify relevant analyses.

Reporting Relationship
Typically Director or above.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or related and 7 (seven) years of experience in software development and data engineering.
Must have work experience with each of the following:

Primary Location United States - Illinois - Chicago - 100% Telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the U.S.

Mon-Fri., 8:30am - 4:45pm, 37.5 hours/week; $122,470 - $147,900 per year, overtime exempt. This position qualifies for CNA's employee referral policy program.
