Data Analytics & Insights, Associate - Human Resources, People Analytics
Job Description
The Human Resources People Analytics Team is focused on providing actionable insights to help our partners in HR and Blackstone's businesses make faster, more sustainable, more strategic, and more cost-effective decisions. The role will report directly to and work in partnership with the Vice President of Workforce Planning and Analytics.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conduct statistical analyses and research focused on talent, recruiting, and diversity, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data
- Create and deliver concise and effective executive-level presentations to communicate actionable insights to our Business, Talent Acquisition, and HR leaders
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate ambiguity and develop recommendations for better business decisions
- Serve as an analytics partner to several of our Business Units. This will require the team member to learn the needs of the business, scope out the right solutions, and roll up their sleeves to build high quality and sustainable products with help from their teammates
- Design, develop, and deliver effective reporting solutions and Tableau dashboards to drive improved decision making for our Businesses and HR partners
- Continuously enhance our reporting and analytics framework, helping to shape our roadmap, document internal processes, and standardize metrics and definitions
- Build tools and audits to enhance our business intelligence and improve data integrity and efficiency in our reporting processes
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience using SQL and programming in Python or R for statistical analysis
- Knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing best practices
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts (correlation, regression, T-test, ANOVA), research methods and experimental design - knowing when to use various models, how to test assumptions, and how to write effective survey questions
- Ability to generate clear, concise, and executive-ready actionable recommendations
- Strong communication and data presentation skills
- Experience supporting coworkers or peers in learning technical concepts
- Some experience with text analysis, or an interest in learning
- Understanding and strong interest in industrial and organizational psychology
- Experience developing talent or recruiting dashboards with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
The following are preferred but not required:
- Experience with technical documentation, project planning techniques, and logging work in project management software like JIRA
- Experience building reports directly in an HRIS system using calculated fields, worklets, dashboards, and composite reports (preferably in Workday)

Expected annual base salary range:
$80,000 - $130,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
