We are seeking motivated, results-oriented, college students to join our team for the summer of 2023. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.

As a Data & Analytics team intern, you will gain experience in the activities and tasks listed below:

• Understand the end-to-end project life cycle of an analytics project
• Participate in requirements gathering and analysis sessions, along with the senior team members on the project
• Engage in either data engineering (AWS Glue, Step Functions, Snowflake, SQL) or dashboard (Power BI) development or data science development (Python/AWS Glue) and/or testing activities, as assigned by the Pod Lead
• Participate in daily scrum meetings for the project they are a part of
• Escalate any support or help needed w.r.t the completion of their assigned tasks, to their Pod Lead, promptly
• Send weekly status on their assigned tasks to their Pod Lead

Experience/Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Past exposure to Data Engineering, Analytics, or Data Science is preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Self-driven and proactive
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects
• COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees

Education

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field of study
• GPA must be greater than or equal to a 3.0 GPA
• Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
