This is a Summer internship beginning May/June 2023 and the work is fully remote.

Collins Aerospace is continuing to grow our Data Analytics environment to meet current and future business needs by creating a strong foundation of analytics that drive and support tactical and strategic business decisions. Analyzing large amounts of information to discover patterns and trends in the data is a significant part of this foundation.

The Data Analytics team has an immediate need for a Data Analyst Intern with an interest in solving business problems, user experience and design, in support of creating actionable strategies that drive better and faster decision making.

This position will require the candidate to work seamlessly with members of the business, Digital Technology, and key Data & Platform resources to:

• Generate professional Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports based on data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse and enterprise data platforms.
• Conduct advanced analysis to identify business data trends and measure performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, BI developers, and subject matter experts to create better end to end data solutions.
• Design, develop and implement analytical solutions to address business questions, improve business stability and health, and provide business insight.
• Provide support for the Data Analytics environment and projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Experience:

• Demonstrated knowledge using programming languages or techniques in working with data sets.
• Understanding of data visualization concepts, and ability to identify trends & patterns in the data.
• Ability to work with various end users to analyze business behaviors.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment to ensure design designs are implemented with consistent quality.
• Preferred experience with data visualization (Tableau).
