Client Group Overview

Job Summary

We are looking for a Data & Analytics Lead to support our US Retail business. This role will leverage data to grow and manage the business by identifying new and meaningful data sources and developing and delivering solutions. The AVP, Data & Analytics Lead will work with sales teams throughout this process, applying data to drive business outcomes and clearly communicating insights to key stakeholders, including US Retail sales leadership. The team also provides business reporting, tools, and analysis to drive strategic decisions and enhance sales throughout the US Retail sales organization. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented leader, comfortable with ambiguity and excited to chart a course of BI delivery that will have measurable business impact.

Job Description

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Design and development of all business metrics and sales reporting to support and drive sales effectiveness, measurement and management
  • Bespoke client analysis
  • Modeling and scenario analysis
  • Development and implementation of data visualizations and sales enablement assets
  • Design and development of all business metrics and sales reporting to support and drive sales effectiveness, measurement and management
  • Analytics, reporting, and measurement across different strategic initiatives and the sales cycle
  • Developing and communicating insights to senior stakeholders to drive strategic decisions, partnering closely with different functions, including the Distribution Enablement and Intelligence team
  • Fostering a data-driven culture by demonstrating deep understanding of our business and generating ideas to apply data to support achievement of US Retail strategic business goals


Job Qualifications & Key Attributes

The ideal candidate should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field with 8-10 years of experience - advanced degrees (MS/MBA) preferred
  • 7+ years' experience developing analytical strategies, business intelligence capabilities and overall 'data driven decision making' roadmap development
  • Background in retail distribution in the asset management industry and associated third party data sources (DST, Discovery, BrightScope, Partner Firm Data Packs)
  • A strong track record of successfully leading and implementing mid-large, complex projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments to develop solutions
  • Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
  • Expertise with data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau and PowerBI
  • Experience with Python, SQL R, and Excel is highly desired
