WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a Data Analytics Manager II to build Nike's data and analytics foundation, directly benefitting our partners and our Consumers. You are self-motivated and data curious - especially about how data can be used to optimize business opportunities. In this role you will own projects end-to-end - from conception to operationalization, demonstrating your comprehensive understanding of the full data product development lifecycle. You will employ various analytical techniques to solve complex problems, drive scalable data architecture, and deliver data products to enhance decision making across Nike's North America functions. The successful candidate has the ability to lead large scale analytics projects requiring minimal direction, is highly proficient in SQL, has good communication skills, and takes the initiative to explore and tackle problems.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

The ideal candidate will be working with the North America Consumer Insights and Analytics Team. They will be a part of an empowered, highly-capable team collaborating with Nike Direct Analytics, Demand and Supply Management, Marketing Analytics, and Consumer teams to deliver on business priorities. They will be researching, analyzing and implementing scalable data product solutions that power Nike analytics across the enterprise.

As a Data Analytics Manager II you will:
  • Lead development and execution of reporting and analytics products across a focused area of the Nike business value stream to enable data driven business decisions that will drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals.
  • Translate complex business problem statements into analysis requirements and work with internal customers to define data product details based on expressed partner needs.
  • Develop SQL queries and data visualizations to fulfill ad-hoc analysis requests and ongoing reporting needs.
  • Thoroughly document business requirements, data architecture solutions, business processes and training material for business and technical audiences.
  • Develop frameworks for repeatable validation of data integrity within data products that support accurate and consistent reporting.
  • Serve as domain specialist on data and business processes within your area of focus and find solutions to operational or data issues in the data pipelines.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will join a team of highly-successful Data Analysts in the Reporting and Data Enablement Team! You will work closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Visualization Developers and have the chance to collaborate with peers across our organization, as well as Enterprise Data & Analytics to deliver best in class products to your partners. You'll also partner with Global and Geo teams to develop enterprise wide solutions to unlock data across the organization. This role reports into a Manager of Data Analytics on the North America Consumer Insights & Analytics team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field, or demonstrated industry experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in omnichannel/digital commerce, reporting and analytics, or supply chain.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL ie. Joining multiple data sets across different data grains, query optimization, pivoting data.
  • Proficiency with cloud environments such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS, along with building and maintaining SSAS tabular cubes
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding techniques to make complex data more accessible, understandable, and usable to drive business decisions and outcomes (e.g., Tableau, Cognos, PowerBI, Python/R libraries, or similar tools)
  • Demonstrable ability to integrate with partners to form a deep understanding of their business needs. History of partnering multi-functionally to develop data and reporting solutions for broad use.
  • Experience with all steps of the analytic process from requirements capturing, solution design, QA, debugging, and documentation. Extensive experience in data profiling, data quality, and root cause analysis.
  • Extensive experience translating business objectives and questions into data architecture, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
  • Extensive experience in data architecture, defining and maintaining data assets, and developing data architecture strategies to support reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Clear capability in communicating analysis results and subsequent impact to technical/non-technical audiences in both verbal and written form.
