The Data Analytics professional role is an integral role to the Interiors SAP Team and has responsibilities for managing the implementation of Interiors data & reporting related business processes, enhancements, and solutions. (e.g., Database, reports and visualization development, data extraction, transformation, data cleanliness, completeness, validation and sustainability, Workflow Management, configuration management, and business reporting). This is an individual contributor role with no direct report.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements from functional businesses and translate into building, deploying, and troubleshooting highly complex dashboards, reports, and workflows to provide self-service analytics
- Building Data modeling, ETL workflow management concepts and using data pipeline ingesting and integration tools such as Alteryx and Matillion
- Maintain existing Tableau dashboards and data sources, ensuring that they continue to meet business requirements and visualization best practices
- Creating procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
- Developing Tableau Hyper Extracts on Tableau Desktop
- Monitoring Usage report of workbooks, performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
- Publishing and scheduling workbooks and data sources
- Identifying areas for improvement in current dashboards
- Auditing dashboards regularly to maintain quality and integrity
- Implement systems and reporting changes, develop necessary training and job aids to ensure end-user adoption of the Data Visualization tools
- Create and maintain a data catalog of dashboards and the reporting attributes used within the Curated Datasets
- Project Management: Work with appropriate stakeholders to establish reporting strategy, vision and priorities
- Ability to understand business processes and bridge gaps through systems implementations and business insight
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to a changing environment
- Be Proactive, result driven and aptitude for detail, data accuracy and data integrity
- Be a change agent, lead and facilitate improvements with businesses to completion, including resolution and organizational buy-in for process changes
- Remote role with up to 50% expected travel
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
- Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Experience
- Extensive Advanced experience with developing maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, Tableau dashboards and preferably other visualization tools (Qlik, PowerBI) to enable dynamic dashboarding
- Extensive experience with connecting to Cloud Database Management platforms (such as Snowflake, Azure) to build complex data connection.
- Experience constructing SQL queries for ad-hoc analysis and to use with Tableau.
- Experience in writing complex Tableau calculations and translating business goals into quantitative metrics and reporting
- Extensive Experience with Data modeling, ETL workflow management concepts and using data pipeline ingesting and integration tools such as Alteryx and Matillion
- Preferably technical expertise in reports, queries and automated application development using tools like SAP BOBJ, Analysis for Office, SQL, Excel & Macros
- Experience with training consumers on usage of Data Visualization tools and developing training content
- Experience in leveraging data visualization and dashboarding techniques to make complex data more accessible, understandable, and usable to drive business decisions and outcomes
- Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses, and make recommendations in a fast paced and highly matrix environment
- Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills: very comfortable with data, ability to interpret data in business context, use good judgement about its use, ability to collect and organize data from multiple sources (ERP systems, flat files, SharePoint), disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong visualization and presentation skills and comfortable speaking to all audience (technical and non-technical audiences, key stakeholders and Executives)
- Must be very comfortable with ambiguity, be creative and be able to manage projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Strong ability to lead and/or work on cross-functional teams and provide project management support
