Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Provides oversight to data domains and maintains data quality within the domains through fixing coding errors and other data-related problems.
• Examines and handles metadata and data sourcing problems to ensure data integrity.
• Monitors metadata and data dictionaries to ensure all materials are up to date.
• Initiates support to business users by recording and generating reports related to data analysis.
• Reviews and organizes operational data to support the examination of past business performance.
• Trains, delegates, and reviews the work of lower level professionals to enhance their performance.
• Understand the data matrix supported by Nuveen systems, the product lines serviced and its usage to Nuveen Global Investment Operations and other user departments.
• Analyze error logs generated from Nuveen systems and identify issues.
• Manage all imports/exports; troubleshoot and correct issues when necessary.
• Understand the data flow between Nuveen systems and its outside vendors and custodians.
• Reduce errors by analyzing data from multiple sources and identifying patterns.

• Vocational and/or Technical Education Preferred

Nuveen is seeking an Data Analytics Specialist Lead for our Data Management & Control (DMAC) Team within Nuveen Global Investment Operations. The Data Analytics Specialist Lead will supports and facilitate daily operations within data analytics regarding data quality standards, architectures and policies. Work under limited supervision for non-routine situations, this job is responsible for designing and maintaining data systems and databases to ensure that data is accurate and useable for data analytics. This job also locates and extracts data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models and reporting.

Required Skills:

• Must have Asset Management industry experience.

Preferred Skills:

• 5 or more years of experience working with security/account data across at least one of the following asset classes; equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• 5 or more years of experience with at least one of the following products or tools; Bloomberg, Eagle, InvestorTools, Charles River or FactSet.
• Analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Problem recognition and resolution skills.
• Self-motivated, organized and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Bachelor's Degree.

Base Pay Range: $29.06/hr. - $41.15/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
