What you will be doing

Individuals in this role understand how information is turned into knowledge and how this knowledge supports and enables key business processes. They must have a solid understanding of logical data warehousing design principles and data access requirements for business analytics and exploration. Also required are analytical skills, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, as well as an innate curiosity around wanting to understand business processes, business strategy and strategic business initiatives to help drive incremental business value from enterprise data assets.

• Architect, design and implement the underlying Data & Analytics operational technology foundation
• Use operational data as an asset to deliver operational analytics
• Ability to disrupt traditional operations and use analytics and insights to deliver overall data operations strategy and vision
• Ability to define operational metrics and to measure those metrics using data
• Works closely with architects to assure systems are in line with data & analytics long-term strategy.
• Growth mindset of getting out of comfort zone be able deliver continuous service improvements
• Ability to ideate and be able to pursue those ideas to deliver business value
• Identify opportunities of automation and machine learning
• Ensure every implemented feature can be alerted and monitored in a seamless manner
• Should have a process centric mindset (as opposed people centric mindset) with extra attention to documentation
• Experience with IT operations, helps to establish SLAs on system performance and data processes with Service owners and ensuring they are adhered to
• Quick learner and be able to pick new technology as we expend our data & analytics footprint
• Leads major projects/ programs, providing subject matter expertise and technical direction and oversight.

What your background should look like:

• Experience using cloud computing networks for data storage and analytics
• Experience with Azure technologies preferred - Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factories, Logic Apps, Log Analytics
• Experience in Python, Databricks or any other AI/ ML technologies
• Experience in SAP BW HANA - preferred
• Experience in Data Visualization tools, preferably Power BI - preferred
• Experience in service now or any other incident management solution - preferred

What your background should look like

• Bachelor's degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• Eight (8) or more years of experience in technologies relevant to data/information management, such as SQL, RDBMS, Data Lake/Hadoop, MDM, Metadata, Data Quality, etc.
• Has a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards.
• Experience in leading projects and teams.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions.
• Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies, in a variety of technologies and environments.
