Your Role and Responsibilities
A Brand Technical Specialist within IBM’s Data & AI brand means accelerating enterprises’ success by improving their ability to understand their data. It means providing solutions that enable people across organizations in multiple roles the ability to turn data into actionable insights without having to wait for IT. And it means selling multi-award winning software and world-class design practices that enables business analysts to ask new questions. The answers to which are literally shaping the future and changing the world.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Actively develop and progress qualified opportunities with the IBM Sales Team
- Act as a deep technical expert in sales opportunities and leverage your experience to make presales engagements successful
- Collaborate with other internal IBM teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction
- Maintain an understanding of the client’s industry including industry trends industry business processes
- Deliver solution workshops product demonstrations technical education and Proofs of Concept while articulating business value for our data management solutions
- Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define design and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
- Support customers across the sales cycle
- Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) and other technical questionnaires
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience with Data Operations (ETL Data Quality) Information Lifecycle Governance Data Fabric Master Data Management and Data Science databases (DB2 SQLServer PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB Oracle etc.)
- Client facing experience with IBM watsonx technical sales.
- Understanding of key concepts in the Foundation Models literature and expertise in building and deploying them for real-world examples.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies specifically Kubernetes and expertise in leveraging them for large-scale AI workloads.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills at all levels of an organization
- Driven and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence in everything they do
- Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with peers and clients
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Previous experience in a Technical Sales/Solution Consultant/Sales Engineer role
- Experience with IBM Data Governance (Datastage/QualityStage Optim Openscale and Cloud Pak for Data)
- Red Hat OpenShift experience accreditation or certification.
- Experience in Industrial (automotive electronics manufacturing and oil & gas) market.
- Competitive product experience a plus (Microsoft Snowflake AWS etc.)
