Data and Analytics Development Engineer - Remote

Job Description

Flexion Inc. a Madison, WI based IT Consulting and Services firm is looking for a Java Deployment Engineer to work on a consulting project. The client for this position is based in Madison, WI, but work for this position can be done remotely.

This person will productionize Data Science models for longevity within our clients platform. This involves working with Python, SQL, AWS, GitLab CI/CD, ETL tools, Terraform, and more. We'll also look for the Data & Analytics Developer to provide statistical analysis, user data analysis, EDA (exploratory data analysis), and communicate this analysis effectively with the team.

Required skills:

-3 years at of Data and Analytics Development experience

- Very strong skills in the following areas: Python, AWS (Lambda, SQS, SMS, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, Athena, etc.), GitLab, SQL, Data Ingestion via multiple API methods, EDA, Terraform, Linux

- Experience deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production

- Experience working with data, data architecture, data modelling, and related software development

- Self-motivation, with minimal supervision, to produce thorough and high-quality work

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills

- Experience interacting with internal business partners

Desired skills:

- Experience working with JavaScript - React, Node.js preferred

- Experience developing Architecture and Dataflow diagrams

- Insurance experience, Commercial Lines insurance experience
