Data and Analytics Technical Lead

This role is a senior technical leadership position at the intersection of enterprise data architecture, cloud modernization, and advanced analytics. You will be responsible for designing and evolving large-scale data warehouse and analytics solutions that support critical business decisions across multiple domains. The position combines hands-on technical depth with strategic leadership, as you guide migration efforts from legacy SAP environments to modern cloud-based platforms. You will also play a key role in integrating SAP, Microsoft, and external data ecosystems to enable unified, AI-powered analytics. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with business stakeholders, architects, and offshore teams to deliver scalable, high-performance reporting solutions. This is a highly visible role where your work directly impacts enterprise data strategy, innovation, and digital transformation.

In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data warehouse solutions, with a strong focus on SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere environments. You will architect robust data models, manage transformations, and ensure high-performance data pipelines across SAP and non-SAP systems. A major part of your responsibility will be driving the migration from legacy SAP BW systems to SAP Datasphere, including planning, execution, validation, and cutover activities. You will also design hybrid data architectures integrating Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and other cloud data platforms to enable modern analytics capabilities. In addition, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise goals. You will lead offshore teams, oversee deliverables, enforce best practices, and ensure quality across all development efforts.

• Lead design and development of SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere data models and workflows
• Architect and optimize data warehouses, transformations, and integration processes
• Drive end-to-end migration from SAP BW to SAP Datasphere, including validation and cutover
• Design hybrid architectures integrating Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and SAP ecosystems
• Enable integration with Salesforce, SQL Server, and other external data sources
• Translate business requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions
• Lead offshore development teams and ensure delivery quality and timelines
• Enforce data modeling standards, performance optimization, and governance practices

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in SAP BW/4HANA and enterprise data warehousing, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale analytics and migration initiatives. You have deep expertise in SAP data modeling concepts, including ADSOs, InfoProviders, CompositeProviders, and data transformations, along with strong ABAP for BW capabilities. Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere and BW-to-Datasphere migration projects is essential. You also bring working knowledge of Microsoft data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI, with exposure to AI-enhanced analytics tools considered a strong advantage. You combine strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management capabilities are critical for success in this role.

• 7+ years of experience in SAP BW/4HANA and enterprise data warehousing
• Strong expertise in SAP BW modeling (ADSOs, InfoObjects, CompositeProviders, etc.)
• Experience with ABAP for BW development and enhancements
• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere and migration from SAP BW/BW4HANA
• Strong knowledge of data integration with SAP, Salesforce, SQL Server, and external systems
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and modern cloud data architectures
• Familiarity with Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to lead and mentor offshore or distributed teams
