Data and Analytics Manager

About the position

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our fast-growing company. We have an immediate need for a Data and Analytics manager with a strong work ethic who can work independently to oversee the execution of data reporting, and data-driven insights required to support our FP&A organization. Reporting directly to the VP of FP&A, this is a high-impact role essential to Smartbear’s continued growth by enabling high-quality analytics, evidence-based decision support, development of dashboards/tools, and supporting operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Be the Finance Leader for the Smartbear Data initiative, a cross functional project to standardize our data, workflows and integrations across teams and reporting platforms
• Responsible for accessing, validating, and querying data from repositories using available tools
• Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems and data automation systems
• Work closely with the FP&A team and business leaders to implement high-quality, data-driven reporting and dashboards to support key business decisions
• Develop strong working relationships with all levels of management and be viewed as a trusted business partner
• Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective project management and collaboration with stakeholders
• Collaborate with the IT department to obtain and maintain applications used for data collection and reporting
• Analyze and develop business processes and requirements
• Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manuals
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions
• Identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations 

Qualifications:

• 5+ Years of experience
• BA/BS in Finance
• Ability to read code and support applications, reports and processes
• Solid understanding of SQL languages
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with building Dashboards with BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting tools
• Ability to solve complex problems with excellent modeling skills
• SaaS industry experience is advantageous
• Prior experience with Planful or other EPM tool is a plus
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, high demand, results oriented environment
