Enlace Health is seeking a Data Architect to be responsible for evaluating, designing and overseeing the development of the enterprise data management framework for collecting, organizing, storing and retrieving data and information. The Data Architect will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to convert business requirements into technical requirements, develop high-level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and ensure alignment between the enterprise data strategy and business objectives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases and data warehouses.
  • Define a scalable data architecture framework, including the development of relevant policies and procedures, that incorporates metadata management, operational and analytical data stores, and ETL and BI platforms.
  • Understand the data requirements and structures for the application in order to define a reference architecture.
  • Develop and test physical data models for business data, applications and processes optimized to meet operational goals for performance and efficiencyEvaluate new technologies, data modeling methods and information management systems; develop corresponding proof of concept and production implementation timelines and milestones.
  • Manage the end-to-end data architecture, including modeling, metadata management, testing, implementation and maintenance.
  • Maintain documentation, including accurate database design, data lineage and architecture reports, for teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate and coordinate across multiple teams, stakeholders, partners and external vendors.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with healthcare data, including familiarity with HIPAA and HITRUST regulations, and a working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models, alternative payment models (APMs), and medical economics, is required.
  • Experience with cloud-based ETL, data management and business intelligence (BI) platforms, such as the Amazon Web Services (AWS) suite of tools.
  • Expert in relational database management systems and SQL, as well as NoSQL databases .
  • Strong technical understanding of data modeling, design and architecture principles and techniques across master data, transaction data and derived/analytic data.
  • Proven background of designing and implementing architectural solutions which solve strategic and tactical business needs.
  • Deep knowledge of best practices through relevant experience across data-related disciplines and technologies, particularly for enterprise-wide data architectures, data management, data governance and data warehousing.
  • Highly competent with business process and entity relationship modeling, source-to-target documents, use case and activity diagrams, and use case specifications.
  • Strong Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence skills.
  • Knowledge on how to handle ELT and scalability issues for enterprise level data warehouses and create ETLs/ELTs to handle data from various data sources and various formats.
  • Proven experience in provision of insights which influence the overall strategy and plan for scalable data solutions and products that meet business needs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills in a large data environment.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain advanced data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Expert at data modeling, design and manipulation, and systems development, including system development life cycle, design and testing techniques.
  • Ability to adapt and stay flexible in a fast-paced environment, prioritize critical tasks and maintain a high degree of accuracy amid competing deadlines.
