Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our development team working on a highly complex distributed solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing scalable fault-tolerant systems using Apache Flink Apache Kafka Kubernetes Elasticsearch and Java. As a Senior Backend Developer you will be responsible for the development of new features collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of our product.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop test and deploy scalable fault-tolerant and highly available backend services using Apache Flink Apache Kafka Kubernetes Elasticsearch and Java
• Ensure that the new features and components meet the requirements and standards of the project
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management QA and operations to ensure successful delivery of the product
• Participate in code reviews ensuring that the code is scalable maintainable and follows best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in the system identifying root causes and implementing fixes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Flink Kafka Kubernetes Elasticsearch and Java and apply this knowledge to improve the system
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams design documents and technical guides
• Participate in Agile development methodologies including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java with a focus on distributed systems and big data processing
• Strong experience with Apache Flink and Apache Kafka including stream processing event-driven architecture and data pipelines
• Experience with Kubernetes including deployment scaling and management of containerized applications
• Experience with Elasticsearch including data indexing querying and analytics
• Strong understanding of software design patterns principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues in the system
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus Grafana and ELK
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
• Certification in Flink Kafka or Kubernetes.
