Data Architect/ Data Engineer:
MicroHealth is seeking a Data Architect/Data Engineer to support our client in Vienna, VA. This is a remote position with potential travel to client sites in Rockville, MD, and Albuquerque, NM.
Technical lead for the design and implementation of data flows to connect and/or migrate operational systems that streamline and maximize the availability of information for analytics and business intelligence. Provide guidance for the system upgrades, management, decommissioning and archival of data in compliance with industry best practices, while defining and maintaining the “as is” and “to be” data technology architecture including integration, metadata, BI and data marts.
Functional role and responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable of data security rules and standards, with the ability to execute security processes
• Lead the rebuild of data streaming systems
• Code optimization to ensure processes perform in the most efficient manner
• Strategize on database management, including data/application migration and conversion
• communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledgeable of legacy environment (i.e. DB2, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, SSIS, SSRS) and able to communicate the potential opportunity for, and impact of emerging technologies on the current and future state organizational environment
• Proven experience selecting and implementing appropriate scalable and future-proofed data solutions technologies
• Able to document source-to-target mappings
• Experience re-engineering manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use
• support the build of data streaming systems
• Prior experience writing ETL scripts and code development
• Experience developing business intelligence reports and data visualizations
