JOB SUMMARY

The program will elevate the customer experience by implementing a new Customer Information (CIS) and Meter Data Management (MDM) system, and modernized customer engagement technology including an advanced analytics platform.
The program is seeking an exempt level 4 - 5, based on job experience and knowledge. This position resides in the Customer and Meter Data Management delivery organization including both business and technology resources. This organization is responsible for replacing the legacy CIS and MDM systems with the Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) product. This position will be part of a Data Conversion scrum team that will focus first on converting the Itron Enterprise Edition MDM data into Oracle C2M and later the Customer/1 mainframe data into the Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) portion of Oracle C2M.
This analyst position will design and analyze the quality and completeness of ETL conversion solutions as well as the data audit framework used to measure quality and completeness of this massive data conversion undertaking. Job duties will span the entire SDLC encompassing requirements, development, and testing. Development will center around custom ETL data conversion solutions. The successful candidate must be able to learn and work independently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related area of concentration preferred
Experience
The program is seeking a highly inquisitive and analytical individual. The ideal candidate is an individual who is curious, has a thirst for knowledge and enjoys learning. The ideal candidate will have experience working with functional teams to understand data requirements and how designs and business process impact conversion mappings. This role will require the individual to document field level mappings between Itron Enterprise Edition and Oracle C2M. The individual will be responsible for investigating data usage, data volumes, data discrepancies and the system of record. This role will require close collaboration with the Data Conversion Developers, Data Cleansers and Testers.
Analyst Experience
Required:
- Experience eliciting business requirements and translating into functional and technical specifications used for designing data conversion processes and tools
- Experience successfully communicating with business partners, clients, and technology to obtain agreement on requirements and solution acceptance criteria
- Working with and writing SQL in support of relational databases
- Experience with requirements traceability and issue resolution.
- Test plan development including gaining agreement on pass/fail acceptance criteria
- Demonstrated ability to analyze quality and completeness of data relative to solution specifications
- Working knowledge of data conversion metrics reporting and audit requirements.
- Successful experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Usage based billing systems (ie. Utilities, Cellular data, etc). Utility Experience supporting a Customer Information System (CIS) or Meter Data Management (MDM) a plus. Specifically, Oracle C2M, Itron EE, MV90, Customer/1, Oracle CC&B.
- Working knowledge of a meter data management application (e.g., Itron EE or C2M) a plus
- Experience with rate-based consumption conversions (e.g., gas, electric, water or telecom).
- Experience with Data Mapping of data fields from Customer/1 or Itron EE and C2M
- Experience creating an inventory of data cleansing processes, tracking issues and resolution to improve data quality working with manual data cleansers.
- Experience working on an Agile Scrum team.
