JOB SUMMARY

The program will elevate the customer experience by implementing a new Customer Information (CIS) and Meter Data Management (MDM) system, and modernized customer engagement technology including an advanced analytics platform.
The program is seeking an exempt level 4 - 5, based on job experience and knowledge. This position resides in the Customer and Meter Data Management delivery organization including both business and technology resources. This organization is responsible for replacing the legacy CIS and MDM systems with the Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) product. This position will be part of a Data Conversion scrum team that will focus first on converting the Itron Enterprise Edition MDM data into Oracle C2M and later the Customer/1 mainframe data into the Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) portion of Oracle C2M.
The Data Conversion developer position will build ETL conversion solutions to meet data audit framework requirements and ensure quality and completeness of this massive data conversion. Job duties will span the SDLC including interpreting requirements, defining design, development of data conversion processes and tools, testing and improving the effectiveness of these processes and tools prior to final system conversion. Development will center around custom ETL development for data conversion solutions. The successful candidate must be able to learn and work independently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related area of concentration preferred
Experience
The program is seeking a highly inquisitive and analytical individual. The ideal candidate is an individual who is curious, has a thirst for knowledge and enjoys learning. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting concurrent conversion workstreams as well as perform data analysis. This role will require the individual to be able to troubleshoot, identify issues and resolve them independently. This role will require metrics reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This role will work closely with the Data Conversion Analyst, Data Cleansers and Testers.
Developer Experience
Required:
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio developing custom applications.
- Implementation of work packages and interface creation (Send port/Receive port)
- Implementation of ETL tools for the purpose of data conversion between systems
- Experience troubleshooting and tuning code.
- Creating orchestrations, maps and pipeline components.
- Working with and writing SQL in support of relational databases
- Clear understanding of software development (SDLC)
- Development of Microsoft Integration and Reporting Services
- Development of data audit reports
- Successful experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Administering servers (including application and DB server upgrades)
- Previous rate-based consumption data conversion experience a plus (e.g., gas, electric, telecom, water).
- Experience with Customer/1 or Oracle C2M
- Experience with ITRON EE, MV90 or other MDM applications
- Microsoft .Net (e.g., TFS, XML, C#, SQL, WCF) and integration tools (e.g., Biztalk, Apigee)
- Experience in developing audit queries/reports that provide completeness and quality metrics to leadership.
- Successful experience on an Agile Scrum team.
