Emphasys Software PHA is looking for a Data Conversion Engineer to join the growing development group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Data Conversion Engineerwill be primarly responsible for the conversions of data between both the internal and external systems. Utilizing a fundemental understanding of both SSIS and T-SQL to build quality data conversions for clients.

• Meet with clients to determine requirements.
• The ability to analyze unknown datasets, while transforming those datasets into a known database.
• Create mappings to Emphasys PHA applications and databases.
• Determine the scope of work required for each project.
• Converting data from multiple data sources, including SQL Server, MySQL, text files, MS Excel, MS Access, and proprietary databases.
• Identify and resolve issues and challenges.
• Run validation processes to ensure conversion accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members to understand manual implementation tasks.
• Develop program/processes for automating tasks.
• Develop custom programs, reports, and utilities for unique client requirement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced knowledge of SSIS, T-SQL and set-based logic.
• Experience with data conversions or migration.
• Expereince Creating/Editing complex SSIS and T-SQL Scripts.
• A passion for self study and a knowledge seeking mentality.
• Clear understanding and interest in process imrpvoment and documentation best practice.
• Familiarity with a variety of database types and sources.
