Data Curation Associate

As a Data Curation Associate at Lyft, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and usability of Open Street Map (OSM) and internal data. You will work closely with various teams to curate and maintain data sets that are essential for our operations and decision-making processes. We are looking for someone who has good analytical skills and is able to process a large amount of data. 

Responsibilities:

• Work with mapping tools with high accuracy in accordance with policies
• Curate data sets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Document data and tooling issues meticulously for analysis
• Augment/prepare collected data for the engineering team
• Work heavily with the Google Suite of products/services such as G-mail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Calendar, etc.
• Review OSM edits to ensure they are made in accordance with OSM and internal policies
• Keep a high level of accuracy, attention to details and integrity
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Experience:

Required

• English level intermediate (or higher) is a MUST, both spoken and written
• Some background/education in mapping, cartography and any related fields.
• Strong computer skills: You must feel comfortable learning new processes, systems & tools, including labeling tools (data labeling, image labeling) and Google Drive products
• Ability and readiness to deal with monotonous work without losing concentration
• General understanding of the traffic regulations, mapping fundamentals
• Presence of basic logic, ability to handle ambiguity and provide independent reasoning and conclusions.
• Strong personal communication skills. Good at asking questions, and arguing your point of view, formulation of thought. Actual team player. 
• Ability to work in a distributed team remotely.
• Proficiency in working with G-Suite products and services.

Will be an advantage

• Experience in OSM mapping
• Any experience in the following or related fields: data entry, data labeling, quality control. Training background.
• Processing and triaging feedback
• Being familiar with Jira
• Previous data curation experience
