Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. What we do:

As a Data Deployment Manager & Strategist you'll work as part of a driven and creative team of Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, SREs, Aerospace Engineers or Core Ops Partners to deploy data solutions and software to help implement our vision of an advanced air mobility future. Your mission is to synthesize disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of what the most important problem is, what the data means, what users are motivated by, and where the impact could be. You will work closely with partners to build out our data deployments strategy and roadmaps and lead prioritization on what Data Engineering & Data Platform Engineers work on.

This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

What you can do:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the data and product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap
  • Develop and maintain a detailed data product roadmap, aligning it with organizational OKRs, goals and priorities
  • Prioritize feature development, enhancements, and ETL pipeline improvements based on impact and user feedback
  • Lead a cross-functional team of data engineers during daily standups, Sprint Planning, prioritization, and responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL processes aligned with the roadmap
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the entire data pipeline
  • Drive innovation in data engineering practices and technologies to optimize data product development
  • Supervise the product management, creating, and maintenance of ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources
  • Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize ETL processes for efficiency and scalability per internal customer product requirements
  • Lead the full product development lifecycle from ideation to launch
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of product performance against important metrics and user expectations
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, software engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data products
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between technical and non-technical teams to achieve project achievements
  • Iterate on the product based on data-driven insights and feedback
  • Drive the creation of user documentation, training materials, and ETL process documentation to support internal and external users
  • May require up to 25% of domestic and international travel
  • Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute:
  • B.S. in relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, physics, software engineering, data science, or information sciences (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) required
  • 5+ years of relevant data management experience preferably in regulated industries like aerospace or automotive (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • 5 years proven experience with data systems and implementation of data solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, data visualization products, low code/no code data OS products preferably Palantir Foundry.
You may also be able to contribute:
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, ETL tools, and data integration techniques
  • Experience with data analytics platforms and tools
  • Exceptional project management skills and a track record of successfully delivering data products
  • Experience with FAA certification data standards and requirements
  • Experience in writing complex SQL scripts for data validation
  • Experience in road mapping of data solutions in the aerospace / automotive engineering and manufacturing / production or HR/IT/Supply Chain/SAP/Procurement/MES
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
  • Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The pay range for this position is:
$194,638—$291,957 USD
