Data Developer

Data developers are expected to be knowledgeable in global financial market data and be able to work collaboratively with other teams worldwide. Rimes’ hand-off management style encourages developers to take initiative to complete projects, managing multiple tasks, as well as set their own individual day-to-day priorities.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Perform sophisticated data analysis in multiple asset classes
• Assist in the building and operating data acquisition, custom analytics and reporting processes.
• Work closely with 300+ global data partners
• Build robust data pipelines for finance data ETL
• Conduct advanced calculation to meet a large variety of data needs from institutional clients.

Data Developers must have:

• A detailed and fluent understanding of programming principles with Python experience
• Ability to analyse and solve problems
• The ability to work independently, results driven, and detail oriented
• Flexible and efficient at multitasking assignments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related fields

Also useful:

• Experience in Perl, Java, C, C++ or similar programming languages
• Knowledge of SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript
• MS Excel® and MS Office ®
• Knowledge of financial markets and financial data
