Data Engineer

Job Description Role responsibilities include:

• Collaborating across all firm LOBs, technology, and business partners to determine Data source, current pipeline constructs and modern-state requirements
• Design, develop, deliver, innovate and manage data technology solutions in the cloud
• Building data pipelines and data warehouse solutions to meet business requirements
• Loading disparate data sets and performing pre-processing services
• Leveraging CI-CD and agile processes to deliver solutions
• Train and develop depth and skill of technology peers on data resource management
• Responsible for maintaining development, test and production systems
• Responsible for code optimization and performance of platform
• Responsible for documentation and metadata management

Data Engineer Skill Listing:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering or related field
• Proven work experience developing big data engineering solutions including batch and streaming solutions
• Experience in Big Data platforms which should include experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka or similar technologies
• Strong Core Java development, 5+ years' experience
• Knowledge and experience in any one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Python, R
• Hands-on experience working with delivering software and using big data and analytical tools in AWS
• Knowledge and experience in infrastructure technologies like: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar technologies
• Leveraged DevOps concepts to continuously improve and transform platform into a highly available, highly maintainable platform
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Ability to work in large and medium sized project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic
• Excellent communicator able to convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner at all levels
