Job Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in implementing and integrating client data into SmarterDx products, ensuring the seamless transformation and validation of data according to our standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge ETL pipelines, enhance system resilience, and improve data processes.
You will be responsible for:
- Transforming client data to SmarterDx standard data models
- Testing and validating client data to SmarterDx data specifications
- Instantiating ETL pipelines that enable SmarterDx products to perform analyses on client data
- Focused maintenance on recently created data pipelines
- Engaging in initiatives that improve system resilience against unexpected changes, provide better instrumentation and enhance monitoring for negative impacts
- Improving existing processes involving data mapping and standardization
- Participate in a rotation of engineers that diagnose, triage, and solve production data issues should they occur
- Apply industry standards and best practices where possible

As an engineer:
- You have 3+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in the healthcare industry involving clinical and/or billing/claims data
- You are well versed in SQL and and ETL processes, experience with DBT is a significant plus
- You are comfortable with essentials of data orchestration, prior experience with Airflow and python is a plus

We have a very diverse tech stack, specifically for this role, you will interact with the following:
- Databases: Snowflake (primary), DynamoDB
- Cloud Infrastructure: Weβre an AWS shop and we use many AWS managed services, including: S3, MWAA, Sagemaker
- Languages: SQL, DBT and/or Python
- $150-200K base salary (depending on experience) + equity
