As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for storing, organizing, and publishing test data across the company.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Spacecraft Test Engineering and is based in our Saratoga, CA office. Occasional travel may be needed. 

What you'll be doing:

• Architect, implement, and deploy new data processes and databases
• Develop data pipelines, visualizations, and reports
• Collaborate with designers, test engineers, and cross functional teams to understand requirements and goals
• Create, deploy, and support APIs that enable others to utilize the databases as needed
• Promote usage of the databases to increase utilization and data visibility throughout the company

What you bring to this role:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer
• Skilled database developer with broad knowledge of SQL and no-SQL databases
• Skilled programmer able to be effective in multiple programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Python, Bash, and PowerShell
• Demonstrated success of driving projects forward from concept to deployment and maintenance
• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment

Extra points for the following:

• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD workflows
• Experience building new databases from the ground up with incomplete or changing requirements
• Experience building cross functional acceptance and utilization of new capabilities

This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The target base pay for this position is $130,00 - $180,000 annually. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
