Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of an AI chatbot specifically designed for the food industry. In this role, you will utilize our internal AI systems as well as ChatGPT to build a powerful chatbot solution. The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering or software development, with a strong background in Python and working with large databases. Additionally, the ability to handle data from multiple databases and manage work across multiple projects is essential. Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL, SQL, Postgres, or others, as well as familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

Your impact:

• Collaborate with the team to develop an AI chatbot for the food industry using internal and external AI systems.
• Utilize Python and SQL to handle and manipulate large databases with millions of rows in relational databases (MySQL, SQL, Postgres, etc.).
• Work with data from multiple databases to ensure seamless integration of the chatbot with backend source.
• Manage and prioritize work across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
• Integrate software into existing and new project source control systems in Git

About you:

• Experience with a start-up a huge plus
• Data engineering or software development experience (2+ years)
• Python (Pandas) (2+ years) 
• Experience working with large databases (200+ million rows)
• Comfortable working with data from multiple databases
• Comfortable managing work from multiple projects
• Proficient with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL, Postgres, or other
• Proficient with Git or other version control

"Nice to haves":

• Experience with AWS S3 and database administration.
• Familiarity with machine learning and statistical concepts.
• Proficiency in Jira for project management.
• Previous experience in the restaurant industry.
• Comfortable working in a startup or small company environment with a highly iterative development process
