Job Title: Data Engineer

location: Boston MA, or Merrimack NH.

Duration: Contract to Hire

Visa: USC / GC only

The key to filling this is SQL, BI Tools, ideally PowerBI but it's not required.

Experience building out data pipelines with ETL, Snowflake, and Python as options

Big plus: knowing how to connect the dots between securities, positions, trades, etc.

BI Tool is likely PowerBI

Need to have strong SQL, most of the data is coming from MariaDB which is a spinoff of MySQL, used in the bookkeeping squad, all other data in Green Meadows is MongoDB, NoSQL. (not important to have).

The Role• The candidate will join a Client business that is rolling out a newly developed end-to-end brokerage platform designed to meet changing customer and industry needs. • The individual will apply data engineering and/or analysis skills to help us establish a new data environment and help us plug specific operational, tactical, and strategic information/reporting gaps as we launch the business.• The candidate will work closely with colleagues in Operations, Product, and Database teams to develop database pipelines sourced from multiple databases underlying our business as well as other Fidelity sources and vendor feeds. Secondarily, the creation of reports, data visualizations, and other specific data analyses is required.• The role is on a business team, working in partnership with other data specialists and brokerage operations subject matter experts. • Solid background in database technology and tools is important, but equally essential is the desire and analytical orientation to• understand the mechanics of our fascinating industry,• learn how our customer accounts and activities manifest in databases,• efficiently and masterfully tell business stories and describe key business metrics and relationships with data.
