Data Engineer

The nIQ Data & AI team are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer. This 'DATA, DATA, DATA' division of nCino helps drive the data strategy and data infrastructure which helps to unify, store, secure, process and analyze data. Apart from powering several nCino data products, the nIQ Data &AI eco-system supports data-driven decision-making by enabling users to access, explore, and analyze data from multiple sources quickly and easily.

As a Data Engineer, you will be working with the team responsible for helping bring the 'magic' out of data for both internal customers and data products powered by nIQ in an agile and highly collaborative environment. In this role, you will be working individually and/or partnering with other data engineers to develop new and maintain existing data pipelines. You will also be responsible for learning/implementing the data engineering/enablement best practices and collaborating with stakeholder teams to understand the overall nIQ data architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimize data pipelines and solutions for large-scale data processing for various data types.
• Analyze data to uncover insights and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Work closely with other teams to understand requirements to develop data-driven solutions to business problems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data quality, data enablement and data integrity.
• Ready to take ownership of a data domain or a part of a team roadmap.
• Stay informed of industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or related role
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and big data processing technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, or Spark

• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes

Desired:

• Experience with Databricks/AWS
• Agile software development experience and ability to communicate and collaborate professionally.
