Optiver is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Systematic Trading team. What you’ll do:
Our Data Engineers sit at the intersection of research, trading and technology. They own high-impact projects that span across these domains, driving our firm's success. As a Data Engineer at Optiver you will:Â
- Develop and maintain backtesting and simulation frameworks
- Â Drive the generation of our features and research datasets
- Utilize your problem-solving skills to transform trading opportunities into data-driven solutions
- Â Take an active role in implementing and monitoring enhancements to our trading strategies
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM fieldÂ
- Advanced in Python scripting with experience using data packages
- Familiarity with diverse data storage formatsÂ
- Proficiency using Linux operating system
- Experience handling large and diverse datasetsÂ
- Proactive problem-solving and effective communication skills
- Ability to make pragmatic decisions, considering short and long-term trade offs
- Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening.
