We're looking for a DATA ENGINEER to join our team!
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, scaling, and integrating big data based platforms. You will also be working with the Data Science team in setting up and automating the Data Science models/algorithms for production use.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Data and is excited to use different tools to provide data insight for further analysis in driving business decisions.

Note: Depending on the project and our clients' needs, you may get the chance to pack your bags and take off every now and then. Typically, we estimate travel time to be between 0% and 15%.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Building and optimizing ETL / ELT data pipelines using Modern Data Stack tools;
- Working with raw data, structured and semi-structured;
- Transforming the raw data into those data models using SQL and dbt;
- Supporting and working with BI and Analytics teams in a dynamic environment;
- Collaborating and effectively pair programming with other engineers;
- Solving business problems by modeling business events following the best practices of Agile Data Warehouse Design;
- Designing dimensional data models using the Kimball approach for the Data Warehouse;
- Designing and implementing event-driven serverless data services for ingestion and exporting of data into and from the Data Warehouse;
- Setting up the ingestion of new data sources using client's in-house serverless event-driven ingestion platform.
Requirements
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of Object-oriented Programming languages;
- Advanced experience with Data Modelling such as Kimball techniques;
- Advanced experience with Data Warehouse Design;
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, as well as familiarity with one or more cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery;
- Experience with DBT (data build tool);
- Experience with Python, Shell Script;
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Cloudformation;
- Experience with source control, Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment through CI Pipelines;
- Previous experience working with AWS cloud services in production (API Gateway, AWS Lambda, SSM, SNS, SQS, Firehose, S3, SageMaker, etc) is a plus;
- Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other agile frameworks is beneficial, but not required.
