Data Engineer

R1RCM is seeking a talented data modeler to assist with the design and implementation of company reporting data marts. As a data modeler, you will be working closely with data stewards to implement data modeling solutions in order to streamline and support enterprise information management.

To ensure success as a data modeler, you should have in-depth knowledge of data warehousing, as well as expert communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch data modeler should be able to design models that reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management.

Data Engineer Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
• Collaborate with the development team to develop a data reporting environment across organizational data systems.
• Identify and promote best practices and patterns for data modeling to ensure consistency within the system.
• Integrate the data platform with analytical tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
• Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
• Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
• Review team members' codes for quality and correctness.
• Evaluate data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.

Data Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required in healthcare, analytics, statistics, information technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with data profiling using SQL and Excel
• Proven understanding of data architecture, normalized, dimensional, star schema models
• 2+ years of experience building Snowflake/Redshift databases, views, stored procedures, and data transformation scripts
• 3+ years of experience developing data pipelines or ETLs to load data into cloud data repositories
• Familiarity with Power BI and/or Tableau
• Experience with source control repositories
• Knowledge of Databricks or dbt is desired
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Excellent Communication skills Advanced troubleshooting skills.
