Data Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our analytics team. You will focus on analyzing data, building dbt models, writing SQL queries, and designing a semantic layer to support dashboards and reports. Your role will involve working with diverse data sources such as Redpanda, DynamoDB, Amplitude, Hevo, and Salesforce to provide actionable insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis: Analyze data to provide insights and identify trends for decision-making.
Build dbt Models: Create and manage dbt models to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
SQL Query Writing: Develop complex SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from Amazon Redshift and other sources.
Semantic Layer Development: Design and implement a semantic layer to enable consistent and efficient reporting and dashboarding.
Data Integration: Work with diverse sources like Redpanda, DynamoDB, Amplitude, Hevo, and Salesforce to consolidate and prepare data for analysis.
Dashboard and Report Building: Collaborate with stakeholders to create dashboards and reports using BI tools.
Collaboration: Partner with data engineers and business teams to ensure data accuracy and usability.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in dbt and SQL and Python for data modeling and transformation.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Familiarity with data sources like Redpanda, DynamoDB, Amplitude, collectdb, medusa, and Salesforce.
• Expertise in designing dashboards and reports for analytics and business insights.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and semantic layer design.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation.
• Prior experience in analytics for dashboards or reporting.
