Data Engineer

Landis is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our Engineering team. The role is responsible for building the required infrastructure for optimal extraction and transformation. 

Where you will make an impact:

• Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability and optimizing data delivery
• Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies
• Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition 
• Preparing raw data for manipulation by various stakeholders
• Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements

• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

Your background includes:

• Bachelor's degree in data engineering, big data analytics, computer engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of proven experience as a data engineer, software developer, or similar, building data infrastructure from the ground up 
• Expert proficiency in AWS, Python (or related language), SQL.
• Familiarity with Hadoop or suitable equivalent.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Scrupulous approach to work product 
• Proactive self-starter able to prioritize and manage work autonomously
• Experience with Metabase a plus 
• Proven track record of success
• Experience working closely and communicating effectively with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment
