Data Engineer
We are looking for a motivated expert-level data engineer to help us further our business growth through the power of data. This is a "from the ground up" initiative with us engineering a new infrastructure, integration, and analytics platforms to promote impactful Analytics and Business Intelligence capabilities for our team.
Join our team and participate in the construction of data-focused platforms, solutions and analytics "from the ground up", enabling impactful Analytics and Business Intelligence capabilities for our organization. We are in search of an experienced full-stack or near-full stack Data Engineer with a track record in gathering detailed requirements, understanding internal and 3rd party data sources, and developing data engineering solutions (ETL/ELT, data models, data repositories, data marts/data warehouse, ad-hoc result sets). You will help provide technology solutions to support these goals. You will be a direct report to the Director of Data Engineering and Analytics.
About You:
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL/Azure SQL/T-SQL.
- proficiency with at least one RDBMS like SQL Server DB, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres is must. Understanding of modern cloud data platforms like Azure or Snowflake is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts, coupled with hands-on experience of at least one ETL tool like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Talend, Informatica.
- Knowledge of Power BI, DAX, or Tableau or SSRS. Adapt at conveying insights through data, assisting partners in identifying what matters and what steps they can take to help their business.
- Devotion to the QA process, conducting QA testing, and adept troubleshooting
- While AI or ML experience is preferred, it is not obligatory.
- Awareness of modern-day storage, compute, serverless, and orchestration services offered by cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Experience with task automation, configuration, and alerts via PowerShell, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Agent, Data Pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Python and/or Spark (preferred but not required).
- Understanding of data modeling is desired but not mandatory.
- Advanced knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization. Be able to analyze system resource utilization, bottlenecks, and plan platform capacity sizing (activity monitors, traces, query tuning, optimizers, etc.)
- Capability to quickly adapt to new projects, systems, and technology tools.
- Must reside in Southern California.
Some of the systems we work with are: Yardi (multiple modules including Voyager, Deal Manager), SQL databases and DW, Smartsheet, HubSpot, various 3rd party data sources.
Rexford Industrial's total reward plan includes a premier benefits package, bonus eligibility and long-term stock incentives. The expected annual base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $155,000, with a 20% discretionary annual bonus target and stock grant eligibility.
The actual base salary and total compensation offered depend on a variety of factors, which include, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location where the job will be performed. The final base salary and total compensation will be described in any offer letters.
