Data Engineer

We are looking for an exceptional Data Engineer to work in a remote setup for our Europe-based client. For this role, we only process candidates who are based Philippines and have legal authorization to work in the Philippines.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and maintain robust data pipelines, empowering data-driven decision-making. This role offers the chance to architect and uphold a state-of-the-art cloud-based data platform, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data storage and processing infrastructure.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and manage data pipelines using modern tools.
• Ensure data quality and reliability through comprehensive validation.
• Identify and implement process improvements for optimized data flow.
• Act as a liaison between data and other internal teams.
• Explore and integrate new technologies to enhance data engineering.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in a data engineering or data-centric software engineering role.
• Proficient in Python, particularly in building data pipelines and interacting with REST APIs, relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience of data warehousing, data processing and pipeline building using modern tools such as Airflow, Airbyte or dbt.
• Competence in the modern data tech stack with experience in CI/CD, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven experience in data governance, quality assurance and compliance practices is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
