***This position will require fluency in English at a level of B2 or above***
What you do at Avant:

• Work with SMEs to translate business requirements into technical specs
• Develop and manage scalable and resilient data pipelines through their entire lifecycle - from design through monitoring and maintenance
• Draft and enhance stories/tasks
• Address incidents associated with pipelines that cannot be resolved with runbooks

Why you are a fit for Avant:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with:
  
  • Redshift, or similar
  • Apache Spark with python
  • Apache Airflow
  • git
• Experience with batch processing required, stream processing preferred
• Comfortable with the Spark job interface and basic profiling
• Experience with test automation for data pipelines preferred
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, strongly preferred
• Very comfortable with SQL
