Capital Technology Group is seeking a smart, talented, self-motivated, and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for implementing database architecture to enable data analysts and data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery consistently throughout ongoing projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Collecting and analyzing requirements; designing, creating and maintaining data ingestion and processing pipelines using such cloud technologies as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Databricks Delta Lake.
• Collaborating with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and 'big data' technologies.
• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 10 years of experience, minimally
• Strong hands-on experience in designing cloud data processing solutions with Azure and Databricks.
• Expert knowledge of and strong hands-on experience with DevOps, building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and/or GitHub/GitLab.
• 6 to 9 years of overall industry experience with 5+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Experience with enterprise data governance, data security, data quality, data lineage tools.
• Experience working with real-time data and streaming applications
• Strong understanding of such data management frameworks as DataOps and Data Fabric
