What you will do:
We are currently seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on gathering and curating datasets critical for our computer vision projects. This role will involve running and developing a sophisticated data pipeline in the AWS cloud, enabling our technology to learn and evolve.
What does this team do?
This position is pivotal in shaping the foundational elements of our AI models by focusing on the acquisition, curation, and management of high-quality datasets. These datasets are the lifeblood of computer vision technologies, enabling our AI systems to accurately interpret and analyze visual data across various real-world scenarios.
The responsibility of building and refining these datasets, coupled with the development and optimization of models, is critical. It ensures that Protex AI's offerings are not only innovative but also practical and applicable in diverse conditions. The role directly contributes to enhancing the robustness and accuracy of our AI models, which is essential for maintaining competitive advantage and delivering value to our clients.
What will I be responsible for?

Dataset Curation: Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets for computer vision applications, including image and video data, to enhance model accuracy and performance.

Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with data scientists and software engineers to understand requirements and contribute to the development of cutting-edge computer vision solutions.

Continuous Improvement: Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, incorporating best practices and the latest advancements in cloud and data engineering.

Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain the integrity and accuracy of datasets.

Learning and Development: Stay informed about the latest trends in computer vision and AWS technologies, continuously improving skills and knowledge in relevant areas.
Ideally you have:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with coursework or projects in computer vision.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, preferably with exposure to computer vision projects.

Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.

Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue) and understanding of cloud architecture.

Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Batch) and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) related to computer vision is a plus. (change to MLOps Tools)

Understanding of image and video processing techniques.

Software Development: Previous experience in software development or involvement in software projects is highly desirable.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex challenges in data engineering and computer vision.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively in a collaborative team environment and articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
