Job Overview

We are looking for a savvy Data Engineer to join our growing team analytics team. The hire will assist in optimizing our data architecture for internal and external reporting. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder who enjoys optimizing and streamlining data systems. The Data Engineer will support data initiatives that will ensure optimal data delivery is consistent throughout ongoing projects. The right candidate should be excited at the prospect of optimizing and designing APTIM's next generation of analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline structure
• Assist in identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
• Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various data sources
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide valuable insights into company and project performance
• Work with internal stakeholders to assist with data-related technical and infrastructure support
• Ability to speak with clients to understand and document the business requirement

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of tools
• Experience building and optimizing datasets
• Resolving problems within established practices
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or 3-5 years' experience in analytics and reporting
• 3-5 years of industry experience focused on data warehousing, analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.
• 3-5 years of hands-on ETL experience in SQL Server
• 3-5 years hands-on experience with multi-dimensional data warehouses
• Hands-on experience with the following technologies -- Power BI, Azure Synapse (Azure SQL Data Warehouse), Azure Data Factory, SQL Server
• APTIM strongly recommends, but does not require, that its employees receive vaccination against COVID-19. We do require employees to provide information about their vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not.
