Data Engineer - Data Warehouse - Sydney - 14 months FTH

Your Role and Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting Data Engineer -Data Warehouse for a 14-month fixed term contract based in Sydney.
You will be part of a WIB team that is responsible for supporting Data Transformation and data analysis. As a Data Engineer your responsibilities include –

• Develop design documents and review technical documents from Solution Architects for WIB projects and manage the alignment of the program’s architecture and design to the Westpac standards.
• Excellent technical and analytical skills with clear understanding of project architecture based on Business Intelligence and Management Information reporting standards is required.
• Work on the technical stories and the bug fixes for smooth flow of the Project.
• Lead the technical design process coordinating the various stakeholders from business and towards an agreed solution.
• Experience and Knowledge of Agile and Scrum Process and coordinate with distributed teams
• Design and build deliverables to ensure traceability of the built solution to the architectural principles and business objectives.
• Resolve technical issues during system integration testing and post implementation address the technical and operational challenges faced by the team.
• Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give demos.
• Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills –

• Minimum 6 years of experience as Data Engineer with expert and leadership level skills in Informatica Powercenter & IICS Oracle PL-SQL Unix Control-m GIT Sterling Python Teradata and utilities.
• Experienced in writing robust and efficient code in Informatica SQL PL-SQL Unix.
• Good knowledge and experience in Business lending domain (in Banking)
• Should have domain knowledge in personal loans secured car loans android pay and mobile wallets.
• Good understanding and experience in DevOps – CI/CD tools like Git Jenkins Bitbucket.
• Good understanding on schedulers like Control M Crontab.
• Experience on tools like Putty WinScp Confluence Jira.
• Should be proficient in DevOps methodologies and tools.
